Meet Our Founder

Barbara Rizzi 

After dedicating over 10 years to volunteering for several different rescues throughout Long Island, Barbara decided to start her own rescue. With a 20 year history in the business world as a CPA she knew running her own rescue was the best way for her to truly fulfill her desire to help as many animals as possible. 

Crazy Cat Lady Animal Adoption, Rescue, and Feral Food Center is a program dedicated to promoting the adoption of dogs and cats from rescues over the purchasing of dogs and cats. We promote the spaying and neutering of all animals as a humane way of controlling populations of feral animals. We provide assistance to individuals and businesses to trap, neuter and release feral cats in their area while offering programs to help lower income individuals with food and affordable vet care so animals don’t end up at shelters or face death for financial reasons.
